Happy Thanksgiving - from the zoo!
This past week we went to my mimi and papa's in Chicago the morning of Thanksgiving. When we got there papa already had the turkey going on the grill. I also got to see my aunt Tracy and uncle Dave. I was a bit shy at first, but after I warmed up to them. I showed them how wild I can be when we went to the park after dinner. I loved climbing on the playground equipment and going up and down the slides.
The day after Thanksgiving we went to the Brookfield Zoo. I saw lots and lots of animals. I even got to hear the lion roar! I asked him for more when he was done ;) I also saw lots of monkeys (and acted like one!).

I tried the potty
Today at daycare we walked to the park. I also tried (unsuccessfully) to go on the potty one time - it's a start, right? Then, when mommy got there, we chased Olivia and her brother Jacob down the hallway. I was pretending to be superman monster ;)
Tonight I showed off my word skills again and when I had finished my cheese, I said "mo' cheezzze daddy" :)

20 months old and getting independent
Today I'm 20 months old! and yesterday, mommy saw the rest of my top molars popping through.
I'm still repeating lots of words, and putting more words together. When daddy gives me a snack, I go and tell mommy "'nack, bo, daddy" - daddy gave me a snack in a bowl.
I'm also using my reasoning skills a lot more. If I have lots of toys on the couch and want to take them all with me when I get down, I now know that I have to either throw them down first or get them after I get down. I used to try to take them with me while I was trying to get down, and then I would lose half of them in the process and throw a fit. :)
I've discovered the art of teasing lately. I especially like to "offer" some food to daddy or mommy, and then take it for myself!
And I've learned how to help myself when I'm hungry.
I'm pretty good at using a fork, but am still more curious about it than what goes on it.

Photo Card
Happy holidays! Mommy succeeded at getting our Christmas cards done rather early this year. Let's see how long it takes to get them mailed. It's from Shutterfly. Hope you like it!

Happy Halloween!
I hope you got lots of candy this Halloween! Do you like my skeleton jammies? I thought they were so cool and was distracted whenever I wore them. We went trick-or-treating at my daycare, so we all got dressed up. Can you tell who I was? My favorite - Elmo! My friends were Hello Kitty, a duck, bunny, sock monkey and chicken.
I've been putting lots more words together and trying new words. Here are some new words and phrases:
* wrigley water (li-ley wa wa)
* good girl wrigley (if i repeat)
* squash (repeat)
* outside (ou-dide)
* walk (wok)
* run
* juice (jooo)
* nummy
