Merry Christmas!

We've been so busy getting ready for Christmas, the time has flown by! My daycare had a Christmas party, and Santa came to visit. I didn't really want to go see him, though. When daddy sat me on his lap, all I could do was scream (I didn't even try to get off his lap).

For Christmas this year we stayed in Decorah at Mimi and Papa Thompson's. I got lots of cool things. Ones i like most (so far) are my mini tool-box from uncle Mitch, and a learning tower that Papa built for me. I got lots of puzzles and books, too.

I also liked to take apart Mimi's tree - there were so many "pretties" (silver bead garlands) hung on it, and I just couldn't resist.  Mimi also had some SANTA letters as a decoration and i liked to play with Nanta and rearrange the letters. When I went to dig through Mimi's toys, I found a big tub of legos that had a "loo loo" (choo choo) in it.

I started putting lots of words together over the past few weeks, and am just starting to learn how to say "yes," instead of nodding and grunting. I also got a book about Elmo going potty, and wanted to give it a try. We'll see if Elmo can provide any incentive in this process!

Fun weekend with mimi and papa

This weekend I got to see my Mimi and Papa Thompson. They came to see me Friday night, and we all went out for some yummy pizza and pasta at Avanti in Verona. This morning after I woke up, we went to their hotel and had some yummy breakfast and went swimming! I wasn't too sure of it right away, but once I got to pour water all over everything and everyone, I was fine. After we went swimming, I let Mimi and Papa take a nice photo with me for their Christmas card. It took a few attempts, but we got some nice ones. Mommy likes how much I'm smiling in this one :)

I was asleep before we even made it out of the parking lot! I got up pretty soon after (after an hour), but then this afternoon I took another 1.5 hour nap (mommy had to wake me up before I slept until my bedtime). In between I had a quick snack ;) I have started to become more adventurous in my food choices, and have started to mix things together.

When I was up for good this evening, I loaded up everything that would fit into my car and set out on a roadtrip around the house.

More teeth coming

I showed mommy how brave I can be, and started to jump from the ottoman to the couch. She was a little nervous, but was close by, just in case. She also couldn't resist taking a photo of me and daddy together - aren't we handsome? Have I told you how much I love cornbread? It's a little messy, but really nummy.

this weekend we laid low. we had to take wrigley in for a checkup at the vet. They had some fun toys there - a train/tracks and a parking garage with a swirly ramp. I didn't want to take a nap at all that day. Then today mommy fed me lots of nummy banana bread pancakes for brunch (don't they look yummy?), and shortly after i took a 2.5 hour nap! Everyone was wondering when i was going to wake up.

We also discovered that my 3rd (bottom right) molar is coming through! that's probably why I'm so snotty, drooly and (relatively) cranky! :)
